This is the cover art for
I.G.O.R. and their album MNKNK. Which by the way is AMAZING and you should get it right now. I mean it, it's always great to have the opportunity to produce fun, interesting art, but when it's backed up by incredible talent like these guys you feel like you just hit the jackpot. So thanks go to Mauricio Hernandez & Victor de la Garza for trusting me with this awesome task and for making such inspiring music.
The idea was basically space mission gone wrong, with the detail of Manekineko, the japenese (chinese (?)) lucky cat as a symbol of the failed amulet. I tried some other ideas in the sketches as you can see but we finally stick with the first idea to which I only added the astronaut.

Este es el arte para la portada del álbum MNKNK de
I.G.O.R. . Que por cierto está BUENÍSIMO y deberían conseguirlo ya mismo. De verdad, siempre es genial tener la oportunidad de producir arte divertido e interesante, pero cuando eso es respaldado por un talento increíble como el de estos tipos que uno se siente verdaderamente afortunado. Así que gracias a Mauricio Hernandez y Victor de la Garza por confiarme esta tarea maravillosa y por crear musica tan inspiradora.
La idea era basicamente una misión espacial que salió mal, con el detalle de Manekineki, el gatito japonés (chino(?)) de la suerte como un símbolo de amuleto fallido. Intenté algunas otras ideas en los sketches como pueden ver, pero al final nos quedamos con la primera idea a la que sólo le añadí el astronauta.
